Kit Includes:
2 O-rings size 7/8" Outer Diameter by 3/32" Cross Section
1 Pack of MOEN Silicone Grease Part Number 99915
Each set of items is in a small, labeled resealable bag. Both small bags are inside of a larger bag that is also labeled.
O-Rings are made from Ethylene Propylene rubber (EPDM), for superior performance and service life in water applications.
Nitrile, or “Buna”, lasts several years in tap water, but it eventually starts to degrade, usually around the 10 to 15 year mark.
Ethylene Propylene, or EPDM, is superior to conventional nitrile for sealing water. It is used extensively in automotive coolant pipes, and the pipes and/or radiator usually fail while the O-ring is still functional.
The material of these O-rings passes both the drinking water requirements of NSF 61, and the food contact requirements of the FDA.
